How the SMS Smart Fan Controller works

Plug the unit directly into a mains outlet, and an extraction fan can be plugged into the front of the unit - you should see a socket. There is a control on the front which allows you to manually adjust the speed of the fan - and the rate of extraction. This is particularly useful when adjusting your grow room according to the seasons; a higher rate of extraction is better for summer months, whereas a slower speed is more suited to winter. 

The additional temperature sensor can be plugged into the small jack socket that is located on top of the unit. This allows you to control both the fan speed and set a “maximum” temperature which, when reached, will speed up the fan until the temperature of your grow room has decreased again.
