The size of grow tent
There are some minor variations between tent sizes but all of them are portable and include a durable reflective fabric cover. You will, however, need to choose the right size of tent based on how many plants you plan to grow and their height.
Appropriate lighting
Different plants require different lighting and if inadequate lighting is chosen the plants will not thrive and blossom. There are essentially four basic types of lamps – plasma, high-intensity discharge, fluorescent and light emitting diode (LED). When determining which light is right, you should consider the wattage for the grow tent and other variables such as ease of maintenance and the colour spectrum.
Ventilation
An extraction fan with a carbon filter needs to be set up with a grow tent as this will help avoid you running into issues, such as mould being created by excess heat and humidity. The carbon filter will filter the air as it passes through, which is vital for neutralising odours.
It is also important the grow tent has at least two ventilation flaps. The tent fabric should be 100% light proof when the tent is closed and durable. A thermometer should be placed inside the tent to ensure it is the right temperature. The optimal range inside a grow tent is 68 – 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
